HTTP 429: Rate limited

When it occurs

The caller went over a published limit: LIM-01's 600 requests per 15 minutes per token, LIM-03's 5 magic-link requests per hour per address, or the DOB-assertion endpoint's 10 per (team, person) per hour. The response carries Retry-After.

What to do next

Back off until Retry-After elapses. A poller following the recommended 5-minute change-feed cadence stays well clear of the token limit on its own.
