Privacy

This page covers what xcathletes.org keeps track of for a team, who can see it, and how to stop a text or ask us to delete your information.

What we keep

For each athlete on a team we keep the contact details a coach entered: name, email, phone number, and birth date. We also keep the training log the athlete writes and the daily check-in, meaning how they felt and how they slept. We keep which notifications they chose, and a record of each announcement sent and how many people it reached. That’s all we keep. We don’t track anyone’s location, we don’t hold health data beyond the check-in itself, and we don’t sell or share any of it for advertising.

Who can see it

The athlete sees their own log and check-ins. A coach on the same team sees them too, but only from the day that athlete joined the roster. Anything logged before that day never shows to a coach here. It is still stored, and the person running the site can read it, along with everything else on the site. That access is used to keep the site working and to answer requests like the ones on this page.

Texting

Team texts come from one shared number, the toll-free line 1-888-609-8679. A message never carries more than the title of what was posted and a link to read the rest.

Reply STOP to any text and that number won’t text that phone again. Replying START undoes it. The roster shows a coach when someone has opted out, so nobody wonders why a text never arrived.

Asking us to delete your data

Ask a coach to pass the request along, and we’ll remove the training log, check-ins, notification settings, and the phones signed up for push notifications. Roster and team records a club needs to keep, like who was on the team and when, stay separate from that and aren’t touched by this request.
